The only cookie Tamora sets today is a strictly-necessary session cookie, set by our authentication provider (Supabase), used solely to keep you signed in between page loads. We do not run any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking script, and we do not set any cookie for those purposes.
We keep a small number of usage counts so we can tell whether parts of the product are being used at all: how many times the demo timer page was opened, how many countdowns were started and finished, and how many times a shared viewer, agenda or moderator link was opened.
This counting happens entirely on our server. Nothing is stored on your device, nothing is read from it, and no cookie, local storage or device identifier is involved. What we keep is a running total per day — for example “the demo page was opened 412 times on 3 September” — and nothing that could be traced back to you or link two visits together. Because there is no identifier, these counts are not personal data.
This is why the counting does not change anything above. The rules that require a consent banner are about storing or reading information on your device, and we do neither.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a cookie that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for — like staying signed in — is exempt from the requirement to ask for consent. Because that is the only cookie in use, no consent banner is currently required or shown.
If we ever add an analytics cookie or a third-party tracking script, we will update this page to categorise it (strictly necessary vs. analytics or marketing) and add a consent mechanism before it runs — a banner offering a genuine choice, not a pre-ticked box. This page will stop being accurate the day that happens, which is exactly why we are committing to revisit it then rather than leaving a generic cookie-banner template in place with nothing behind it.
